Apple cider vinegar (also called cider vinegar) is made from fermented apple cider and has a faintly sweet apple flavor. Cane vinegar is based on the juice of sugarcane; it has a rich and mellow, slightly sweet flavor and golden color. Distilled white vinegar (or simply distilled vinegar) is exceedingly high in acetic acid and is very sour and rather harsh tasting.
My neighbor stopped me one day, not long after our daughter’s graduation. (One of her daughter’s had graduated with mine.) She asked me how I was coping with what I had just gone through. Both of her daughters were running a rebellious streak. For me, the last scene was Gasper Noe showing the viewers what they wanted to see. How if she had just avoided everything that lead to her assault, she could have had the baby and lived in the safe haven that she desired. However, as we’ve seen in the start, she’s put in a coma and has possibly lost the child by the way she was raped and beaten.
I remember this vividly. We landed in New Orleans to do a gig during Jazz Fest. I went out to the fairgrounds to check things out. Black and White, the latest film by James Toback, explores this subculture that grows stronger with every new generation it affects. The hardest thing about an outsider trying to infiltrate a subculture and explain it to the masses is that the truth is often lost in the translation. King of New York and Body Snatchers notwithstanding (and Bad Lieutenant is only fit for a single, emotive viewing), his exploitation flicks have fallen into a rut of hoary art house trappings. His 8 minute scene in The Addiction is the saving grace of that otherwise abysmal, unwatchable, and pretentious failure.

Fluttering like butterflies as they try to balance themselves on the tops of the bowed, berry heads, they also scratch in the leaf duff and poke in the ground, searching for earthworms and other insect food, loathe, perhaps, to imbibe on an empty stomach. Eiserer describes them in The American Robin: A Backyard Institution, robins all the signs of inebriation. They flap, flop, flutter, and stagger.
